As a Technical Artist, your role will be to act as a bridge between the artists and programmers on the team. We are looking for someone who is an excellent collaborator, with prior character rigging experience in animation or video games. This is a contract position with remote and work from home option.

Responsibilities:

  • Create body and facial rigs of various complexity levels for characters and creatures
  • Openly share work with other developers on the team and seek feedback
  • Recognize proper polygon topology
  • Make sure that rigs can be properly exported into the Game Engine.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of relevant software packages (Maya, 3DS Max, Unity)required
  • Rigging/Skin weighting/Blendshape/IK skills required
  • At least 1 shipped AAA game title preferred
  • Retargeting animation experience
  • A strong portfolio or demo reel
  • Throrough understanding of rigging and animation
  • Worked on project from inception to completion
